The OLPC was founded by Nicholas Negroponte. Their mission is to create educational opportunities for the world's poorest children by providing each child with a rugged, connected laptop with content and software designed for collaborative, joyful, self-empowered learning. The first laptop was called the XO but earlier this year they unveiled the XOXO. The XOXO is a book, a tablet, a board and a laptop. There is no keyboard, speakers, buttons, or input devices.
